Small group dog training designed for real life success

At Jenn’s Dogs Training Studio, our group dog training classes are designed to help you and your dog build practical skills that translate into everyday life. Whether you’re starting with a new puppy or refining advanced skills, our structured programs guide you step by step using positive reinforcement and force-free methods.

Why Choose Our Group Dog Training Classes

Small Group Classes with Individualized Support

We intentionally keep our group dog training classes small, typically just 3–4 teams, because learning is more effective when both you and your dog feel supported. In a large class, it’s easy to get lost, feel overwhelmed, or struggle to apply what you’re learning to your specific situation.

With smaller groups, we’re able to coach you in real time, adjust based on what your dog needs in the moment, and make sure you’re not just following instructions, but actually understanding the “why” behind the training. This creates a more personalized experience within a structured group setting, so you leave each class feeling confident in what to do next.

Training for real-world success

Our goal is not just to teach your dog to perform cues in a controlled environment. We focus on helping you build skills that hold up in real life, when distractions are present, routines change, or things don’t go exactly as planned.

Start with an evaluation to set you up for success

Before joining any group dog training class, all dogs begin with an evaluation at our training studio. This allows us to make sure the group environment is the right fit for both you and your dog from the very start.

During the evaluation, we look at your dog’s comfort level, your handling and communication, and your dog’s current skills and learning history. From there, we recommend the most appropriate starting point within our programs.

For many dogs, group classes are a great fit. For others, we may recommend beginning with private training or behavior support to build a stronger foundation before transitioning into a group setting.

This process helps ensure that when you step into class, you feel prepared, supported, and set up for success.

Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at info@jennsdogs.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Yes. Before joining any group dog training class at Jenn’s Dogs Training Studio in Cornelius, Oregon, dogs are required to complete an evaluation. This allows us to make sure the group class environment is the right fit for both you and your dog.

During the evaluation, we assess your dog’s comfort level, your handling skills, and your dog’s current training history so we can recommend the most appropriate starting point. For many dogs, group training classes are a great fit. For others, we may recommend starting with private dog training sessions or behavior support first.

Level 0: Puppy Life Skills does not require an evaluation.

To attend group dog training classes at our Cornelius, Oregon training studio, all dogs must be current on DAPP (Distemper, Adenovirus, Parvovirus, and Parainfluenza) and rabies vaccinations, based on age requirements

Puppies must be on track with their vaccination schedule appropriate for their age.

If your dog has an autoimmune condition or is unable to receive vaccinations, we require a letter from your veterinarian confirming that your dog is safe to participate in a group dog training environment.

Our group dog training classes are intentionally kept small, with only 3–4 dogs per class. This allows us to provide individualized coaching while maintaining a safe and supportive learning environment for every dog and handler.

Each group dog training class at Jenn’s Dogs Training Studio is 50 minutes long. This structure allows for focused learning while keeping dogs engaged and set up for success.

  • Level 0: Puppy Life Skills is for puppies aged 8 to 16 weeks at the start of class.

When available, we may be able to place you into another class covering the same lesson for a one-time make-up session. We also offer private make-up sessions for an additional fee.
