Join us for community walks designed to help you and your dog move together, explore together, and build healthy habits in a supportive, low-pressure environment. The Jenn’s Dogs Fit Dog Club is an official AKC Fit Dog program offering free monthly walks at the B Street Trail in Forest Grove.
The Fit Dog Club is a community-based fitness walk for dogs and their people. These events are open to the public and welcome all breeds, ages, and experience levels. Each walk is structured, intentional, and focused on safe movement, good trail manners, and giving dogs an outlet for healthy physical activity.
• A fun and accessible way to improve your dog’s fitness
• Great social exposure without the pressure of a traditional pack walk
• A safe environment to practice loose leash walking around other dogs
• A way to meet local dog lovers and connect with the Jenn’s Dogs community
• Perfect for confident dogs, cautious dogs, and young dogs learning new skills
• Walks are held once a month at the B Street Trail in Forest Grove
• The loop is one mile with places to rest along the way
• Water, waste bags, and guidance are provided
• These walks are free to attend and open to anyone in the community

We guide all participants in practicing appropriate space, passing politely, encouraging neutral interactions, and supporting dogs who need more distance. Our goal is for everyone to feel comfortable. Your dog does not need to greet others to participate. Quiet parallel movement is always welcome.

All dogs who are comfortable walking in the presence of other dogs at a safe distance. Dogs with big feelings or reactivity are encouraged to email ahead of time so we can help you decide whether this event is the right fit or recommend a private session to prepare.

It is a national program through the American Kennel Club that encourages safe, structured canine fitness. Our club participates by hosting monthly community walks that count toward official AKC Fit Dog titles.
No. These walks are free and open to the public. You are welcome to show up at the meeting spot a few minutes early so we can greet you and get you started on your walk.
The loop is 1.7 miles. There are built-in rest points along the trail where you can pause, check in, and let dogs gather themselves before continuing.
No. Everyone is encouraged to go at a pace that feels comfortable. Dogs do not walk in a tight group and are not expected to greet or interact with other dogs. Parallel movement and calm independence are the focus.
Many dogs with big emotions do very well on these walks, as long as they can stay comfortable at a safe distance from others. If you are unsure, email us ahead of time and we can help you decide whether this event is a good fit.
Yes. Children who can walk safely with the group, respect space around dogs, and follow adult guidance are welcome to join.
Only for dogs six months and older. Because the route is longer and the trail is part of a wildlife preserve, it is not appropriate for younger puppies.
Events may be canceled for heat, ice, or heavy rain. Typical Oregon drizzle will not stop us. Updates will always be posted ahead of time.
That is just fine! The route is chosen to avoid having to pass each other coming back. You are welcome to join at any time. The Jenn's Dog Team will be at the trail head for the hour.
No. The Fit Dog walks are open to everyone, whether or not you train with us.
Yes. Friends, family, and neighbors are welcome. Each dog should have its own adult handler so everyone can walk safely and comfortably.
